Obituary Willie Mae Wright King
Willie Mae (Wright) King, life began on July 31, 1941, in Valdosta, Georgia and was called home to be with the Lord in the early morning of Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice Unit in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Willie Mae was the first-born of twelve siblings of Moses Carrie and Eula Mae (Johnson) Wright, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Webb Miller High in Valdosta, Georgia. After graduating high school, she moved too Easton, Pennsylvania, with her Uncle Ernest Johnson, where she met and married John King Sr., and from that union they had two children, John King, Jr. and Charlene King.
Willie Mae work at Easton Hospital in the Lab and after leaving the hospital she worked at a daycare in Bethlehem and then began a homemaker.
After moving to Bethlehem, she became a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she gave her life to Christ. Willie Mae was a faithful and active member until her health failed. She served on the Usher Board and on the Senior Choir. Willie Mae loved her Church.
Willie Mae leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Charlene King, Allentown, PA; grandchildren; Terrell King (Francis) of Bethlehem; and Cherrell King, Coplay, PA; great grandchildren; Je-Neya, Ju-nya, Jania, Amayah Dubose, Lionte, Mayanna, Auayla; six sisters; Mary L. Wright of New Brunswick, New Jersey; Emma L. Wright, Easton, Pennsylvania; Pauline (Edward) Johnson of Valdosta, Georgia; Dorothy L. Wright of Valdosta, Georgia; Florence (Jerry) Campbell of Valdosta, Georgia; Gloria J. Wright of Valdosta, Georgia; three brothers; Alphonso Scooter Wright of Allentown, Pennsylvania; Rodney W. (Luci) Wright of Valdosta, Georgia; Jeffrey L. Wright of Valdosta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased in death by her son John King, Jr., and brothers Moses C. Wright, Jr., Robert B. Wright and sister Erma Wright.
