Willie Lee Johnson was born September 3, 1940 in Pavo, Georgia to the late Will Johnson and Esther Davis Johnson. On June 8, 2023 he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. After the passing of his mother and father and two siblings, at an early age he began his next chapter in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he picked fruits and vegetables along with driving truck to transport crews and loads. In the early 1960's he made his way up north landing in Reading, PA before finding his new home and new family in Allentown, PA. Willie found work at Bethlehem Steel before the factory had shut down. He then began a new line of work at Woody’s car lot where he painted and fixed cars. It was there, that he ultimately fell in love with automobiles, especially his Cadillacs. Willie later got into construction work where he thrived and was happy. Willie was a great father and friend to many. He was the kind of man that would take the shirt off his back to help another. He enjoyed singing the blues, dancing, and making people laugh. He enjoyed gardening and cooking. However, he found his most pleasure in making sure his loved ones were always okay. His smile and charisma could always light any room, even in his final days. Willie leaves a lifetime of memories that we can always cherish. He is survived by his loving son Eric Collazo, his loving step children Liset Collazo-Dingle, and Jeff Holloway. His three loving grandchildren Jonathan Jackson, Ejau Collazo, Kalis Collazo and one loving great grandchild, Evelyce Jackson, and several long loved friends.
