Cathryn Rowena Smith Davis Snow was born on July 22, 1934 in Plainfield, NJ, to the late Susie Iverson Smith and George Washington Smith, Sr. In 1952, she married the late Edward Davis, with whom she had three daughters Myrna, Wilma and Maxine.
In 1959, Cathryn and her girls moved to Boston, MA. She worked at State Street Bank & Trust for over 30 years. In 1969, she married the late John Snow and was married for 24 years. In 2008, she moved to Bethlehem, PA, to live out her later years.
On December 22, 2013, at the age of 79, the Lord called Cathryn home. She is survived and celebrated by: daughters Myrna (Germain) Francois of Bethlehem, PA, Wilma (Curtis) Williams of Avon, MA, and Maxine Wright of Lothian, MD; brother David (Marie) Coleman of Malden, MA; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three sister-in-laws and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
Homegoing services for Cathryn Snow will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Rose of Sharon Community Church, 825 West 7th Street, Plainfield, NJ 07063. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m.; funeral services at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. A memorial service will be held in Boston in early 2014.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Cathryns name, to the National Kidney Foundation, American Kidney Fund and the Alzheimers Foundation.
