Surrounded by family, Barbara Ann Birchett, passed away on February 24, 2024 in Allentown,

Pennsylvania at the age of 77.

Born in Ahoskie, North Carolina on August 14, 1946. She graduated from Central High School in Ahoskie,

North Carolina in 1964. She was employed by FedEx and then Merck Pharmaceuticals in Rahway, NJ,

where she retired.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 years, Charles Birchett; parents William and Rosa

Morings; sister, Jessie Dillard; brothers Russell Riddick, William Morings, Vernon Morings, and Frank

Morings.

She leaves behind 3 sons, Samuel Jacobs, Jr., Aaron Jacobs, and Nathaniel Jacobs; stepchildren, Kenisha

Birchett and Sean Birchett; sister, Evelyn Cooper and her husband, Julius; brother, Joe Morings and his

wife, Gwen; sister-in-law Eileen McArthur and her husband, Douglas; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-

grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Barbara loved life and had a personality that could captivate any room. She enjoyed traveling with her

husband, cooking, dancing, bingo, planning parties and events, and spending time with family and

friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude for all who provided care for Barbara in the final years of

her life.
