William C. Motley

William C. Motley, of Allentown passed away Friday May 19, 2017. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Walter and Ella (Lassiter) Motley. He loved his country and blues music, court television shows, and keeping up with everything going on around the world. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and husband, a hard worker and was the best at what he did. He worked at Staten Island University Hospital for over forty years and ran his own contracting business for over 10 yrs. William never missed a day of work! He was a great and strong man who could be stubborn at times. But it was that tough love that kept his family going. Survivors: daughter, Constance Motley; 8 grandchildren Tonya Motley, Tara Booker, William A Motley, Curtis Motley, Helen Motley, Cornell Motley, Judith Serrano and Tye Motley; 10 great grandchildren, a brother, Walter Motley, a sister, Maude Motley and a number of niece's, nephews and friends. He was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama where he met and married the love of his life Helen Motley. They moved to NYC bringing his 6 month old daughter by themselves traveling by bus. He then moved to Pennsylvania to be near his family. William will be dearly missed by many. We love you dad, grandfather and friend.
