Welcome to the memorial page for

Willie Rashon Cheeseboro

October 28, 1974 ~ August 2, 2017 (age 42) 42 Years Old

Willie Rashon Cheeseboro entered the world on October 28, 1974.  He departed this life on August 2, 2017.  Willie was born in Newark, New Jersey and was educated in the Newark and Hillside Public School Systems.  Willie, affectionately known as Rashon, was a loving individual who sought to help and uplift others.  Willie enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved to talk. Willie had a giving spirit and everyone that knew him often spoke of his benevolent heart.  He never met a stranger and will be remembered by all for his loving spirit, a vibrant sense of humor and his infectious smile.

Willie accepted Christ at a young age and his faith endured in the midst of tumultuous times. Willie was a member of the House of Refuge church in Easton, Pa under the tutelage of Pastor Andrew and First Lady Scille. He attended bible study and he loved to read his bible.  Willie stated that the word of God was very comforting when life was not always so kind. We find solace in knowing that Willie had a personal relationship with God. He has returned to him and is now rejoicing with his mother. Willie was preceded in death by his mother Nettie, his aunt Tracy and uncles Melvin and Dow Jr.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Sharhea Cheeseboro; two brothers, Omar (Mujadala) and Calvin Cheeseboro; loving and devoted Grandparents Dow and Frances Wright; Stepfather Willie R. Skipper;  aunts Cynthia Brown, Teresa Wright-Johnson and Remender Summers; uncle Marvin Johnson; nieces and nephews Imani, Omar, Maya, Za’kiyah, Calvin Jr., Alyjah, Zarhea and Nia; special first cousins Monique, Raheim, John, Baneeshia, William and Ashlee; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Although we will miss Willie, he is forever etched in our memory.  Rest on, our dear Rashon. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

The family wishes to express our sincerest appreciation to everyone for your condolences and acts of kindness.  We treasure you and ask that you continue to lift us in prayer during this difficult time.
