Tawanda Denise Peters

Tawanda Denise Peters, daughter of the late Delia Mae Peters and Henry Terrence Peters was born December 7, 1966 in Kinston, North Carolina. She attended the public schools of Allentown, Pennsylvania and Durham, North Carolina.  She was of the Baptist Faith.       

She was a single parent blessed with a daughter and grandson.  She was a home care provider.  She used her culinary arts skills to prepare and provide meals to many of her family and neighbors on many occasions.

Tawanda Peters was an active member of the Church. She was baptized on June 26, 2016 at Greater Emmanuel Temple of Grace in Durham, NC.  Her Christian life was as beautiful as the roses in the open field, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.  She unexpectedly departed this life Friday, March 31, 2017 in Durham, North Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Delia M. Peters and father, Henry T. Peters.  Her immediate survivors are her daughter, Latrisha Farris and grandson, Jose Garcia.  She will be  forever missed by many  family and friends.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her sisters, Donette A. Phillips of Hampton, GA and Cynthia A. Peters of Kinston, NC; brothers, Raefield A. Phillips of Allentown, PA, Jerome N. Phillips of Allentown, PA, Eliseo T. Paris Peters of Kinston, NC, and Miguel Paris-Peters of Allentown, PA.  She was also survived by an uncle, John H. Phillips Jr. of Allentown, PA; aunts, Deloris Phillips of Allentown, PA and Ella V. Phillips of Allentown, PA.  She also had a host of  devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
