Samuel C. Washington

Samuel C. Washington, 64 of Allentown passed away on October 24, 2017.

Sam was born in Allentown, PA to the late Samuel Washington and the late Alpharetta (Drayton) Washington.

He was married to Cindy (Scheirer) Washington.

Sam graduated from Louis E. Dieruff High School in 1971. He worked for PPL for 44 years until retiring in the year 2015.

He was a member of The East Allentown Fire Co., Lapawinzo Rod and Gun Club, Raccoon Club of Bath, PA, 2nd Story Blues Assoc., A number of bowling leagues and baseball leagues. He was an avid mountain biker and attended the Pocono Blues Festival for over 25 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kristy Washington (Ron Miller), sister, Anita Baten, granddaughter, Alyssa Washington (Donald Chunko), grand son, Jordan Washington, great-grand daughter, Layla Marie and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by sisters, Sylvia Sells and Elizabeth Boone.
